Has anyone used Overtone?

2020.09.18 16:59 youcancallmet Has anyone used Overtone?

I'm 38 and 2 years ago I stopped coloring my hair completely. I had been getting gray since my early 20s and by my early 30s I found myself at the salon every 4 weeks covering up my horrible gray roots. On top of that, I hadn't really discovered my hair was actually curly so I spent a lot of time and money on heat styling and keratin to smooth the frizz. My hair was fried! I'm really not a high maintenance person either so frequent trips to the salon became a real pain the ass and tough on the wallet. I gave up and decided to go natural. I took a while but 2 years later I've finally grown out and chopped off the last bit of highlighted blonde hair. Now my hair is a mix of colors. The top layers are gray mixed with a medium brown so it looks grayish-blonde and underneath it's still fairly dark, not as much gray. I've been working on the CGM for the last 6 months and for the first time in my life, people are complimenting my curls! It's still kind of a wild and free look - a work in progress!
Anyway, long story short...I don't want to go back to fully dying my hair now but I need to brighten it up or even it out somehow. I feel like it ages me right now and I hate the way I look in photos (which I need for my dating profiles lol). Yesterday a co-worker told me she'd love to see me with chocolate brown hair and that she thinks I should start coloring my hair again which I think was her subtle way of telling me my hair looks like crap. Another co-worker made a quick mention of Overtone. I've been on their site this morning but the FAQ is a little lacking so I don't totally understand it. I'm wondering how silver would work for me...or brown. I just need something to make it look like I haven't totally let myself go.
Any experience? There's a silicone about half way down the list of ingredients on the conditioner that's on the "caution" list but not avoid.

2020.09.18 14:40 cooldrip_mess The “Any plans for the weekend?” Question...how do you answer this question?

Every single week on OLD, around wed night, i will start to get this question:
So, do you have any plans for the weekend?
Between wed and fri i will get that question probably about 15-20 times. I dislike this question for so many reasons....
I used to think that it was because they wanted to make plans, but not always.
Many times i think it is a segue to humble brag about theirs: i.e. “oh that’s cool, i am going sailing!” Or “oh i am taking a red eye to key west!” or “i am picking up my new tesla on saturday!” (Some are lying, some aren’t.)
Other times i think it is a way to query if i am dating other people, and obviously, i am. 90% of the time, i DO have plans, and those plans involve dates with other people...we are on a dating site, so...it would stand to reason i am probably going on a date? So, why ask this uncomfortable question?
Sometimes it is just a “making idle conversation” question. But i think it is a bad choice for idle chit chat. Even if was NOT going on a date, i really have no desire to share my personal plans with someone i never met on OLD...because it is private information i do not share with strangers.
i do not like being asked this question at all. I do not ever ask this, and would not ever ask this of a stranger on OLD. If i want meet up with someone i just say “would you like to get together? Name a time and place good for you”. I appreciate this straightforward, no-nonsense approach from others, in contrast to the indirect, passive, and wimpy approach of asking if i have plans first. You do not need to know my entire calendar, you only need to know when i will meet with you.
If i am NOT interested in getting together with the person, i dont ask them about their plans because i dont care about them or their interests. I have no curiosity about their lives and plans.
How does everyone else handle this question?

I was not happy with episode 13 because I thought there was some lazy writing going on, but I had thought long and hard about it after watching both episodes 14 and 15 and it makes sense that Do Hyun Soo would lose some control. He realizes he knows how to love and he has to handle so many curveballs of bad luck all at once when he is still trying to understand a major aspect of himself that he never encountered before! Episode 15 also made up for 13 in my opinion. I was clutching my chair so hard, I thought I might break it from all the anxiety I was going through watching this episode. So much happened here!!
  • Eun Ha - As someone else mentioned, Hyun So would be so proud to know his little star is such a trooper and knew how to stay put. She must've been so scared to be stuck inside and not know what was going on the other side of her door. I wanted to bawl too when she was crying.
  • Kim Moo Jin - If he didn't have any balls before, he sure grew a pair now, standing up to the accomplices of the murderer the way he did? He did better housekeeping than Park Soon Young!
  • Baek Hee Sung - Can we take a moment to acknowledge how he looked when he inhaled the air after he entered the basement? That was A-class creepy vibes right there. Another thing, like the others, I couldn't help but laugh out loud when he was screaming crazily about getting hurt. Now you know how it feels don't you, big guy? And who the heck are you to call someone else a psychopath anyway?
  • Hyun Soo's and Ji Won's reunion - My heart went out to Hyun Soo because he believed Ji Won to be dead and now she's suddenly in front of him WITH his father nearby? Hyun Soo must have been so traumatized. I cannot get over how he was in so much pain in the basement when he saw JW's bloody ID. LJG's acting here alone deserves all the awards! I'm so glad he chose to take on this role.
My only gripe about these 2 episodes is that these loving parents semi-forgot about their daughter. There is a serial killer on the loose and rather than take one of them out, he can easily decide to hurt more through the child, especially with the lack of security seen.
With all that said, I still think this is the best drama I've watched all year and everyone's acting was great (especially actress who plays Jung Mi Sook). The director and production team brought a great distraction to how this year has been in the form of a spectacular drama and I hope it wins many awards.
With a heavy heart, I look forward to watching next week's episode and hope there will be a happy ending for everyone. Moo Jin, you got another chance to win Hae Soo so you better do good

2020.09.18 12:18 bellcosby 21[F4R] Arizona/Anywhere single parent (kinda) looking for friends

Kinda? Its because I'm currently prego
Okay so, long story short, I found out I'm pregnant with my ex's baby...... like a week ago..... I don't know how far along I am, but trust me, I'm doing all my sit ups so the baby comes out buff af. Jk. I promise no sit ups will commence anytime soon.
The baby is definitely unexpected so I do have very confused feelings about the whole situation. First of all, I'm excited!!! N confident in my mom skills...... But as an extrovert, I'm also scared about being lonely :( I know I won't have much time to meet new people/make friends...... oh my god and dating. Sheesh.
I guess I'm just on here to find people in a similar situation, maybe even single parents in their 20s, or just a friendly stranger. (All creeps will be ignored so don't waste your time bucko!)
Since I have no idea how to transition to another topic smoothly, here are some interests I have (other than being pregnant):
-Really terrible movies. Idk why. I just feel like they're way more fun and your expectations are lowered so it makes it extra enjoyable. I've seen Camp Rock way too many times for a 21 year old woman. Go for it and cringe. I'm cringing too. This is a bonding experience for us both
-being healthy:) despite all the carne asada fries I ate last week, I like to keep health one of my top priorities. I workout, I try my best to eat healthy, and I'm a happy little pea mentally. I've been on the opposite end of that too tho....
-music. Ok so I pretty much only listen to Still Woozy these days so I need help with this one. I haven't had much interest in seeking new artists to listen to lately so please help a lazy lass find some new tunes.
Okie so I have more intests but those are just some that may relate to most people. I could go on but this is already super long. Let's just be friends and figure it out:)
I always like to include a pic in hopes that I'll get one back :)

2020.09.18 11:00 PhilsBot Phillies Game Day Thread - Friday, September 18

Phillies @ Blue Jays - 04:05 PM EDT

Game Status: Scheduled

Links & Info

Probable Pitcher (Season Stats) Report
Phillies Zach Eflin (2-2, 5.01 ERA, 41.1 IP) Eflin has struggled recently, going 0-1 with a 6.60 ERA (11 earned runs in 15 innings) in his last three starts. But they need a good one from him against the Blue Jays to remain in the postseason hunt.
Blue Jays Robbie Ray (2-4, 6.85 ERA, 43.1 IP) Ray had it all working his last time out with increased velocity and control of the zone over five innings of one-run ball against the Mets. If he continues to pitch like that, Ray could make a case to potentially fill the role of No. 3 or 4 starter in the postseason.

Blue Jays @ Phillies - Fri, Sep 18 - Doubleheader Game 2

Game Status: Scheduled

Probable Pitcher (Season Stats) Report
Blue Jays Ross Stripling (3-3, 5.88 ERA, 41.1 IP) Stripling allowed three runs over 3 1/3 uneven innings his last time out, so his final outings of 2020 will help the Blue Jays decide what role they want the versatile righty to pitch in for the stretch run and potentially the postseason.

Pirates Trevor Williams (1-7, 6.35 ERA, 45.1 IP) Williams is searching for answers after giving up 24 runs (22 earned) in 21 innings over his past four starts. He has consistently provided innings, at least, registering the Pirates' only seven-inning start of the season.

By ABAPG Staff
July 2019
The world of autism, including autism research and autism education, are ever-evolving, making the blog the perfect forum to keep up with all that’s new and effective.
While there are hundreds of excellent autism-related blogs on the internet, we’re sure we’ve found 30 of the very best. Each blog on our list was chosen based on a list of factors including the reputation(s) of the person(s) or organization(s) managing the blog, consistency, and quality of posts, and the blog’s website metrics. The latter includes the number of monthly hits, the numbers of Facebook and Twitter followers, and the number of websites that link to that blog.
So whether you prefer to subscribe, bookmark, or just immerse, we’ve got your list of the 30 best autism blogs for 2019.
Age of Autism
With an average 11 new posts per week, the Age of Autism is a great blog to bookmark and refer to often. The blog keeps its readers up-to-date on autism news. It analyzes the environmental causes of autism and current treatment options from the perspective that autism is, in fact, treatable. Recent blog posts include, “A Modest Proposal for the Public Official Vaccine Compliance Act” and “The Neurodiversity Movement Should Acknowledge Autism as a Medical Disability.”
The Art of Autism
The Art of Autism is an inspiring blog written which seeks to inspire people with autism through the arts. About three new posts are added weekly. Each is written from the unique perspective of a physician, therapist, or parent. The blog entries are always topical and informative. They also include lots of information about new art exhibits, neurodiversity panels, and entertainment events.
Autism Adventures
Former special education teacher Melissa Finch runs the popular blog “Autism Adventures.” The blog is a valuable resource for parents and teachers of children on the autism spectrum. Blog posts range from everyday tips (“motivating kids with zero motivation”) to curriculum ideas to use in the classroom and at home.
The Autism Dad
With nearly 11,000 Facebook fans and 15,000 Twitter followers, The Autism Dad is the internet’s most popular autism-related blog that isn’t affiliated with a large organization. The blog is managed by a father of three autistic children who has made it his mission to “educate and help families like mine realize they aren’t alone.” On average, more than 30 new posts are added to the blog each week, on topics ranging from updates on his family to autism management tips and ideas.
Autism Daddy
The father of a teenage son with non-verbal autism is the manager of Autism Daddy, a blog followed by more than 150,000 people on social media. Not to be confused with The Autism Dad blog, Autism Daddy keeps its readers up-to-date on all that transpires in the author’s life: “the good & the bad, the pee & the poop.” New posts are published about once a month and are written on topics ranging from speech-language pathology to marriage, to tips for new autism parents.
Autism Eye
Autism Eye is the official blog of the quarterly magazine of the same name. Both the blog and magazine are written by award-winning journalists who also happen to be the parents of an autistic child. About two new articles hit the blog each week, and recent topics have included new drugs that boost brain connections, the need for better sex education, and respite centers.
The Autism Helper
While most autism-themed blogs are written by those with autism, or by parents of those with autism, The Autism Helper is written by Sasha Long, a behavior analyst, and special education teacher. This unique perspective makes it an invaluable resource, and the blog posts often include things like:
educational tools and worksheets
answers to parents’ commonly asked questions

2020.09.18 07:18 NanoAugmented Unusual saliva taste and watery feel in mouth

Had mouth problem for 10 days. Stomach grumbles occasionally(NOT hunger). After modifying my diet for last 9 months I experienced 4kg weight loss, gone no bread Vegetarian from meat eater.
Symptoms: watery feel in mouth, unpleasant to open it, annoying saliva moving(Very similar to after using Listerine mouthwash). I don't feel any pain, only constant discomfort. Stomach grumbles after eating solely rice for supper. Also there's white dry skin on right palm outer side(diagnosed neurodermytys) that stays for 2 years. Skin problem intensified months after going vegetarian, can be correlation.
Suspected causation: Symptoms began shortly after drinking Fentimans Cola 0,275ml after a week break from drinking soda(trying to remove daily soda consumption). Symptoms intensify when eating carbohydrates(or i'm overthinking). Recently been quitting dark chocolate and caffeine of all sorts, masturbation-free for over 1 year.
I'm 19M, healthy body weight, white race; no diagnosed conditions; Current meds: Blueberry vitamin for eyes 1 capsule daily+Skin moisture for skin issue that reduces it; I consume sugar that's mostly naturally occurring, NO smoking, alcohol or any similar substances; No masturbation; Do treadmill for 2-3km daily; 2-3 cold showers daily; mostly sitting lifestyle; Negative tests to lactose and gluten intolerances;
Mouth hygiene: Signal Antistain/Ultrawhite toothpaste 2-3 daily; Listerine mouthwash 1-2 daily(I have very similar feel after using mouthwash, stopped recently, symptoms didn't change)
Diet:
Breakfast - Boiled frozen vegetables mixes(Bonduelle/Hortex) + 1 banana+ 2 rice cakes(Sonko) covered in cream cheese or hummus and hard cheese. Lunch - healthy granola bar or date-sweetened cacao bar, or sublimated fruit bar or 1 banana or any handy fruit.
Dinner - Fried eggs or Pasta or Oatmilk with granola + salad from cucumbers and tomatoes(rarely)
Snack - Banana or second bar or cheese
Drink: Water(Akville) one or two glasses, Oatmilk one or two glasses daily, Natural Juice(Galicia) 0,275ml once a day, soda(very rare, trying to cut)
Supper: ONLY rice with few drops of Tabasco and/or hard cheese
TL;DR High carb Vegetarian + no bread, rarely gluten
Please suggest something I can do with it, if it helps i'm going to be endlessly grateful.

2020.09.18 02:43 VeganJoy [USA-AR] [H] ASUS TUF Gaming X3 Radeon RX 5700 XT EVO, Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8gb 3000C15, GSkill Trident Z RGB 2x16gb 3200C16, BNIB Airpods 2nd Gen, Bose QuietControl 30, Seasonic Prime Ultra Platinum 550W [W] PayPal, high end 2080ti, cheap celeron/pentium for z390, trades

Got some old and new stuff taking up space, time to get it on its way! Bundles are prioritized and I'll knock off a few bucks in those cases. No smoking in this house so none of that smell on anything. If you could spare an upvote to help combat the downvote bots that'd be much appreciated!
Timestamp album
Thingy Description Price
ASUS TUF Gaming X3 Radeon RX 5700 XT EVO Buddy of mine bought this last month, swapped him my 1080ti as he could use the extra vram. This hasn't been registered and I'll provide the original receipt so you'll get the full 3 year warranty directly from Asus. Like new condition, used for just a week or two. This is the updated Evo, not the old version that sucked. Runs pretty cool, especially with a custom fan curve. You can up the power target to 150% from the stock 220w and it'll stay reasonably cool while giving you a nice bump in performance. Comes with the original box and all accessories. Would very much like to trade this towards a 2080ti. Sold for $350 shipped
Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8gb 3000C15, not RGB Pro Swapped on this sub for these last week, one set is v5.30 Hynix AFR and the other is v4.31 Samsung B-die. Should overclock decently with a bit of extra voltage. Looking to swap for or buy another matching kit for either set, but I'll entertain selling them. In good cosmetic condition and they are fully functional, will test them to see if they work together at XMP if you're interested in that. Not selling the B-die kit unless the AFR kit sells first. $70 shipped OBO for the AFR kit, $90 shipped OBO for the B-die kit, $145 shipped for both
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2x16gb 3200C16 In like new condition. Someone mentioned that these are Samsung C-die instead of B-die, but I have no way of determining which of the two ICs these are. Thaiphoon Burner shows these as being Samsung B-die and they overclocked pretty well with some extra voltage, ended up with 3800C19 at 1.44v on my Z390 Maximus Hero. Timestamps for that data is a bit old from when I had these installed last. Bought a month and a half ago and used for a few days before deciding to get some higher-bin B-die. Mfg date is July 2020. $145 shipped OBO
BNIB Airpods 2nd Gen Brand new and still sealed. Non-wireless charging case. I plugged the serial into apple's applecare thingy but they don't seem to be eligible to add that anymore (might've done it wrong? not an apple kinda guy) $120 shipped OBO
Bose QuietControl 30 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones My dad bought these a while back and has decided to stick with wired headphones. About 20-30 hours of use on them. In good working condition, no cosmetic damage. Comes with the carrying case and micro USB charging cable. $170 shipped OBO
Seasonic Prime Ultra Platinum 550W Not a good fit for your LN2 3080 lol, but otherwise a fine PSU. In great condition, purchased about 8 months ago. This is 140mm in length, I believe it's one of the smallest Prime series PSUs. Comes with most original cables, which includes one daisy chained PCIe power cable with dual 6+2 plugs and one EPS 4+4 pin CPU power cable. The only ones I'm not sure about are the weird molexes, I have several of the weird molex cables that are usually included, feel free to ask about any particular ones cause I dunno what they are lol. I have some spare official seasonic cables if you need some extras of anything in particular like PCIe or CPU power cables. Included is the original invoice for the transferable warranty, it's covered for another 11&1/4 years. $115 shipped OBO
Below are some things I'm looking to trade for or purchase:
Thingy Description
2080ti mostly looking for a high end 2080ti (ftw3, strix, aorus, kingpin, etc.) but other cards are fine too.
cheap celeron or pentium for a z390 troubleshooting a z390 and I ain't about to fry a 9700k/9900k trying lol. something like a G4900 would be perfect, whatever's the cheapest cpu that works.
Any other hardware, guitar pedals/stuff, I dunno If you'd like to trade something that I don't have listed here for something I'm selling, feel free to message me with what you've got. I can be easily enticed with random goodies :D
Questions and comments are welcome, thanks for looking!

"Daily case counts reflect newly reported cases and may represent cases that were tested in the preceding days, which could significantly impact the count on days when a relatively large number of laboratory reports arrive in one day." SNHD confirmed they are not counting COVID-19 antibody positives into their COVID-19 positive case counts.
Majority of information is pulled from Southern Nevada Health District's COVID-19 dashboard and historical reports.
Our positives have slowed down, our recovery rate continues to rise (85+% range), but our hospitalizations are increasing. Protect our vulnerable and continue to practice good hygiene habits, including wearing a mask to prevent asymptomatic spread as mandated by Governor Sisolak (onus is on businesses, which we want to keep open, but Metro will not enforce it; OSHA is responsible for mask enforcement by fining the business). To report a non-compliant business through the state, call (702) 486-9020 or (775) 688-3700.
Doctors are doing convalescent plasma therapy treatments and are seeking plasma donors to help those in need. One plasma donation can help five patients. Blood donors can get the antibodies testing done for free.
FDA states 144 trials of therapeutics are underway to treat COVID-19. 457 more are in planning stages. None have been approved. Remdesivir and Dexamethaaone are FDA approved for emergency base use.
Nevada was approved for the 24-hour test procedure. FDA has approved a 30-minute and a 5-minute testing procedures. UNLV provides the main COVID-19 testing services. The first at-home testing kit was FDA approved on 5/15.
Testing sites require an appointment; some may need to be scheduled by your primary care physician or another authorized provider.
City Serve coordinates testing sites throughout the valley. Testing is only on Saturdays. Schedule a no-cost test here: https://cityservelv.org/
The antibodies test was approved by the FDA a month ago. UMC, E7 Health and local laboratories are able to conduct antibodies testing. Cost is normally $149+, but your insurance may reimburse you for the test. Check your coverage first. Vitalant/Universal Blood Services will do a free antibody test for any eligible donors.
UMC is able to process 4,000 tests per day. It is encouraged for anyone to be tested. Symptoms are no longer required. Appointment is required.
UMC's testing sites are inside Thomas & Mack Center and Cashman Field Center. They can do 1,200 tests per day, Tues-Sat 8am to 4pm. No symptoms, insurance, or citizenship required for testing. Must schedule an appointment online through UMC's website (www.umcsn.com). A staff member will contact you back to schedule your appointment. According to their reps, there is no limit how often you can get tested. Sites are walk-in, appointment or walk-up. Both sites now use the self-nasal swab test kits.
UMC updates COVID-19 test guidelines:
New guidelines are to save test kits for those exhibiting symptoms.
Expanded drive-thru testing:
See all testing locations on the SNHD website.
Four months ago, the first vaccine was tested. More than 160 vaccine prototypes are being tested. Clinical trials of the vaccine were administered three months ago. Phase 1 & 2 of trial vaccines have completed with positive antibody results. Phase 3 clinical trials started with 30k volunteers; large test size of 3k vaccine test trials in the UK. Africa started their vaccine trials two months ago. Multiple sources stating to expect an FDA approved vaccine by end of the year.
Of the 100+ vaccines submitted, 22 have made the cut to go through testing and final FDA approval phases (5/15 briefing). The front runner vaccine is conducting human trails (Phase 3 aka final stage), completion date in September. AstraZeneca is prepared to produce 2 billion doses once the vaccine is FDA approved.
Government is working with four vaccine manufacturers who are in the final phases of vaccine trials, all prepared for massive vaccine output once FDA approval is given (7/31). Two of the four have in the final review phases with FDA (8/14).
Phase 3 vaccine trials for Vegas has started. Volunteers can call 702-893-8968. Must be 18+. Administered by the Wake Clinical Research Center of Nevada. Source.
Remain mindful to give our medical community the ability to focus on those in need of their expertise to survive and combat the virus.
